Renoise isn't sample-based if you are using synths, only WAVs or XRNI...

Problem with Renoise is that it's too highly touted for what it is, You can make just as good a music in many other trackers...

Renoise is the RAM PIG of trackers using XRNIs of larger size also does not 'sound better' than other trackers... I did an experiment a few months ago taking my SFZ instrument & converting to AKAI for Skale Tracker, SF2 for SVArTracker and XRNI for Renoise... They all sounded the SAME except for Skale which sounded slightly better than the other two...

Renoise has decent internal FX but I have found tons others just as good or better...

Renoise was slated to have a piano roll early on, too bad on that one-

Would have been great if it had been a vertical piano roll like Aodix or BUZE-

BUZE like many other trackers has features most don't know about that renoise will never have-

Renoise is great for plug scanning, would have been better with machine hook-up like SunVox... Don't know why but since it's been around so long it should be able to handle ANY sampler format right into it not just 'WAV, AiF, FLAC' it should open natively SFZ, SF2, EXS, GIG, so forth so on without using a third-party sampler to do it!

So Renoise uses vast modern resources but is locked in the past...WEIRD!

They should put the old 303s from NoiseTrekker 2 back into renoise like they are in Protrekkr, now THAT would be an improvement...

And WHY are so many making crap music in renoise these days? You should save your money & use anything else FREE for that...
