1.cornpops
Great overall groove...very 1980s light n bouncy with a subtle drive...interesting key centre change when the main theme returns!
Some good little hooks all over the place.
2.they rise, they fall
Serious mood change with that opening...shades of a dark, hybrid orchestral film score.
Some interesting harmonic twists here and there that I really enjoyed...you think it's going down a cliched path and them 'boom' the whole thing shifts a little!![Smile :)]()
3. electro robber
Great sounds in that opening (again 1980s electro-pop). I don't think the rhythmic elements of the main bassline quite worked 100% for me...not quite sure why at the moment. Possibly it all lacks the very strong hooks of other pieces on this album?
Some 'serious' harmonic moments again - quite dissonant at times (in a good way) ....Human League never used those ''chords''!
4. broken souls
That rise at the end of the low-key opening is awesome.
Love the glitchy main rhythm / groove / riff - it shouldn't work, but it bloody does!![Smile :)]()
Excellent sudden change into a hooky / more straightforward section before it drops to that opening again....good rise and fall of tension!
Had a quick listen through all the others as well - good stuff, but I think this one is my favourite!
