Never did answer this. I write mostly in Digital Performer. I've switched to other DAWs and used other DAWs primarily even for periods over the years, but I come back to the all in one, big DAWs with too many features. I like that it has Clips, articulation maps, VST/AU, movie scoring, extensive old school MIDI features, search functions, and generally tries to accommodate all aspects of music.
I mess around with Bitwig and Live, but the real secondary DAW for me is the MPC with the Live II hardware, not nearly as complex as the others, but what it does do it arguably does better.
