I’ve left it with the (different local) guitar store guy to work on so won’t know exactly what the issue is until he gets it done in a few days as he’s working through a queue of similar jobs. I think it may need fret levelling as there was some weirdness, not least that the notes on the buzzy frets buzzed least when held down towards the nut and buzzed most nearest the fret itself. Not seen that before.Were the strings just too low or are the frets actually uneven? If the latter, a simple setup can make it playable but fret leveling would be the better way to fix it.
