There is a point, though.
Have you ever try to solve your internet connection problem with your ISP Customer Service?
They assume you're an idiot. You need to listen to their advices like restarting router, checking cables and all crap before getting to the point. I'm very impassioned in those situations because I feel like we're wasting a lot of time on something that could be avoided if you just say upfront that you have experience and knowledge so we don't need weeks of back and forth communication just to get to that point.
