I checked, it's a product key indeed.Did the DVD come with a licence product key? The key is the important part.
If it did, you can discard the DVD and download the latest Win 11 iso from Microsoft and install it and enter the product key when prompted.
Thank god I've got a spare pc or dual boot to download the iso.
Otherwise, if it's the only one you have, you're stuck too.
Will check later on how to fix that BSOD, it's not my priority right now.
Thanks, yes indeed. But none of this matters. Absolutely none of this has any bearing on or helps you with your Guitar Rig/Linux issue at all. That's all I (and others here) was trying to do.
Good luck with it.
In the meantime I solved the GR problem.
I was lucky I made a back-up of my whole .wine-folder a while ago when all things worked (with all the previously installed GR7 files).
I placed the whole folder back (couple of GB) and then I could restart GR, however I received a popup that I needed to activate with my licence.
I reïnstalled Native Access 1 Legacy and could do so via that program.
So tip for Linux users: if you ever get it installed: make a back-up of your .wine-folder, as you cannot reïnstall GR a second time anymore afterwards. (you will run into a broken installation that cannot get fixed, see topic: https://community.native-instruments.co ... ent/181564 )
Back-up that Legacy exe file too, for in case it's not provided anymore in the future.
And then if someday a problem occurs, you can replace your whole .wine folder again.
